I graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2018 and earned my Bachelors degree in Child Development and Family Relations with a minor in Psychology. I have been teaching preschool, ages 3-5, for 3 years, also I have been a lifeguard and swim instructor since I was 15 years old. I have been teaching children for the past 9 years between multiple sports and class levels. I have always dreamed of opening my own childcare center to ensure the best care and development for the children in the community. I have been a nanny and preschool teacher for the past 5 years. Prior to that I was a stay at home mom to my 3 boys after being afforded the opportunity to “retire” from my restaurant manager position of 20 years. My passion has always been working with children and I couldn’t be more excited to have the opportunity to teach our future generation.

Hi! My name is Miss Jessica and I grew up in Lower Burrell, PA. I received my infant and toddler CDA from North Hampton Community College in 2019. I plan on starting my associates in Early Childhood Education in the near future. I have worked with infants for 14 years, mainly in the daycare setting but also I have nannied over the years. I am married and have two boys, Gavin and Luca! I believe all aspects of a child’s environment plays a major role in the success of their early development. It should enhance the children’s interest in all developmental areas.

I am also certified in infant Mental Health and Early Education, also from CCAC. This is my eighth year working with children between the ages of 6 weeks and 12 years of age. I have been anything from a childcare provider to an in-home nanny to a nursery worker. I started my career as a Preschool Teacher at C&M Play Studio while I was still in school. I was hired before Abby even opened the doors of her facility. During that time, I was so excited to start teaching, so I made myself an entire binder full of my children's contact information, lesson plans, meet the teacher, worksheets, etc. When I did this, Abby saw that I had a creative side. Organically, I became the Marketing Director after a year which is when I started to take marketing more seriously, and fell in love with it.

My favorite things are having game and movie nights with my boys and during the summer we go swimming and to the park on a regular basis. I also like dancing, singing, and scrapbooking. Hi! My name is Miss Heather and I was raised in Heidelberg, PA. I attended schools through Chartiers Valley and then go on to Community College of Allegheny County. Right after graduation, I began working with adults with Intellectual Disabilities. Assisted with daily living activities, administered medications, accompanied them to doctors appointments, community and social events. I spent over 20 years with these incredible people, while they remain in their homes, living life to the fullest. Of course my most favorite thing to do is spend time with my family. We enjoy going bike riding and fishing.

For me, placing my children in another persons’ hands feels like the most dreadful task. Even the most credited, trained teachers, I was always worrying about my kids when I’m not there. I never want any parent to feel that way.

I have always known working with children was my passion. I started in child care as a nanny when I was in my 20s while I was in college. Hello families! I was born and raised right here in Robinson Township and have been working along side kids and their families for over 10 years. Whether that was babysitting in my neighborhood, or helping in Sunday school I have always had a strong passion for teaching kids. When I am not at work you can find me at a Bucco's game or a Penguins game, spending time with my family and friends, or studying for Graduate school. In August I will be starting grad school to get my master's in Education from Point Park University and am looking forward to applying what I am learning to my classroom at C&M. With all my years of experience with a variety of different ages, each child has always wanted to be seen and loved in everything they do; that is my mission. I strive to make sure that each child feels seen and loved every time they enter the classroom. My name is Amanda and I was born and raised in Baltimore, MD. I left Baltimore in 2009 shortly after marrying into the Army. I lived in Germany from 2009-2012. That is where I spent two years working at the Child Development Center working with preschool aged children before moving back to the United States; more specifically El Paso, TX. While living in Texas that is where I became a mom of one to a little boy and had the opportunity of volunteering at my son's daycare. We moved to the Pittsburgh area in 2018.

Hi! My name is Miss Vickie. I grew up in and still currently live in Hookstown, Pa. I have a son named Dylan who is 20 years old and attending Penn State University. In my spare time, I enjoy family vacations, especially ones to the beach! I love family outings and finding new places to explore. Ghost adventures are also a favorite of mine! I previously worked at a school district for 12 years and coached varsity cheer for the last seven years. Hello! I am Miss Myranda! I am originally from upstate New York, but moved to Weirton, WV in 2016. I graduated from Weir High in 2018 and I currently attend West Virginia Northern Community College for my Associates in Science to further my career in Zoology. I also currently volunteer at the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium. I have 1 niece and 4 nephews so I have a lot of personal childcare experience. Hi! My name is Miss Sarah! I am originally from Clearfield, PA but now live in Burgettstown with my husband and our two cats. I also lived in Erie, PA while attending Edinboro University. While I have no kids of my own, I have 3 nieces and 3 nephews that I spend lots of time with. When I am not working, you can find me hiking or swimming at Racoon Creek State Park, crafting with my nieces, or curled up with a good book!

My love for early childhood education started when I was very young; I’ve always wanted to be a teacher! My favorite activities to teach are art based, and I love bringing science and nature exploration into the classroom. Hi! My name is Miss Shawna! I am from New Enterprise, PA and moved to this area for college. I attended college at Robert Morris University then decided to permanently relocated to the Moon Township area after college. I have worked in childcare since I was 16 nannying for families, nannying for an agency, working at a daycare in the Bedford area, then doing my student teaching and subbing. I like going shopping and spending time with my friends. I also love going to coffee shops and trying new coffee shops around. I wanted to become a teacher because of my teachers when I was younger had a large positive impact on my life and helped me get though things as a child. I want to be this role model for children. I also love getting to know the children I am working with and finding out about the things that interest them and make them who they are.

Hi my name is Tammy; I currently reside in Ambridge. I graduated from United High School. I worked retail all my life and decided it was time for a change, so I went into child-care. I have three children of my own and four, soon to be five grandchildren. I love to be outdoors as much as possible, love music, doing puzzles and reading when I can also try to do some crafts when I can.

I have been working in childcare for 15 years. I started the January after I graduated high school. I've worked with kids of all ages from infants to 14. When I'm not teaching or caring for friends I'm reading with my ragdoll cat names Brookes in my lap or playing video games one the couch. On the weekends I love to go camping and fishing, I love the outdoors. I enjoy event planning and creating decor like balloon backdrops in my free time, and I have a business called Block Party Events that is dedicated to this. I have five years of experience in the childcare industry. I love being a preschool teacher as it allows me to put my passion for parenting into practice daily as I look after and teach my class.

I am a graduate of Kiski Area High School and The Pennsylvania State University. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Kindergarten and Elementary Education in 1993. Many moons ago. Since then I have been in many different roles in early childhood education. I have a son, Austin, and a daughter, Janey Cate. They both have graduated college with secondary history degrees. My favorite job has been being their Mom ! 🌸 I love attending sporting events and concerts. Spending time with my family and friends is always the best! Miss Ryley is from Baltimore, Maryland and has worked in childcare for one year. She enjoys going to the gym and doing arts and crafts. In the classroom, she aspires to encourage young minds to think creatively and have positive interactions with learning and their peers. She has wanted to work in childcare since her mother became a first grade aide 12 years ago, and is excited to begin her career.

Hi I’m Megan! In addition to being one of C&M’s Pre-K Blue teachers, I am a C&M New Employee Trainer, as well as one of 2 trainers for our new Substitute Teacher program. In addition to being a Pre-K teacher and trainer, this year I helped Miss Abby organize our partnership with the Pittsburgh Pirates.! I have been in early childhood education for over 10 years now, the last 3 of which have been at C&M. I am thrilled to have found my home here. It’s incredible getting to watch Ms. Abby’s brain work and see all of the ways she’s changing the industry for the better. At C&M, we care about children as individuals and recognize that each child is unique and I have always believed in that within my own classroom walls. Outside of work, I am consistently busy with my 3 daughters; 2 teenagers and an almost 7 year old. You’re likely to find me picking my up oldest, Bella, from band practice or cheering her on during Friday Night Lights, in the dance studio or Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School with Phia, my middle daughter, or on the softball field with Harper, my youngest. I am extremely family-oriented and am lucky to have my parents so close by. Both the beach and snowy days make me the happiest, outside of Christmas Day, the only day I get to spend with my entire family (since my older sister and younger brother both live out of state)

My name is Madeline Knapp and I recently graduated from La Roche University with a bachelor’s degree in PreK-4 general education and PreK-12 special education. Hi! My name is Mercedes Duncan, and I am originally from a small town in Oklahoma! I have lived here in Pittsburgh for 5 years now! I absolutely love spending time with my husband and my 3 boys, Caiden, Caisen, and Callen. I currently hold a Certificate and Diploma in Early Childhood Development, and I will be graduating in December of 2024 with an Associate in Science majoring in Early Education and Child Development. I have 8+ years of experience working withs children from the ages of 0-18. I have worked as a nanny, elementary/high school substitute, Dance Studio owner working with ages 1+, High School Color Guard Coach, Pageant Coach, Cheer Trainer, and childcare provider.
